01 · Paint assessment dossier

Kyiv studio · documented records

Paint condition, measured panel by panel and written down.

Every vehicle at PanelProof begins with a documented assessment: paint-depth readings where appropriate, panel-by-panel notes, technician initials and a date. Polishing options are chosen after the inspection, never before it.

Prices are “from” prices and are confirmed after an on-site inspection. An assessment may not detect every hidden defect, previous repaint or thin clear coat.

Panel-by-panel paint assessment, written down

Kyiv studio · Verified records

Paint correction starts with measurement, not with a pad on a machine. Each panel is inspected under controlled light, mapped in writing, and measured where readings are meaningful, so the work you approve is based on the condition of your car rather than on a package name.

Panels mapped
Individual notes for every panel, with no averaged summary
Gauge readings
Paint depth in µm where the coating allows a reliable reading
Finish map
Defects marked by location, severity and likely cause
Sign-off
Technician initials and date on every record sheet
Options
Cut depth and pass count proposed after inspection, never before
  • The assessment is an inspection with limits: it may not reveal every hidden defect, earlier repaint or thin clear coat until polishing begins.
  • Readings are compared across panels, so an uneven film build becomes visible before a machine touches the surface.
  • Prices are from prices. The final quote is confirmed after the vehicle is inspected on site in Kyiv.

Written findings stay with the job file and are handed to you together with the recommended polishing options and their documented outcome.

Inspection Process

Three stages / documented per panel

Every vehicle runs through the same three stages before any polishing option is quoted. Each stage leaves a written entry with technician initials, date, and the reading or condition observed.

  1. 01

    Pre-wash and decontamination

Two-bucket wash, iron and tar removal, then a clay pass. Contaminants come off first so gauge readings sit on bare, consistent clear coat.

  2. 02

    Gauge mapping

A calibrated coating-thickness gauge is placed on fixed hotspots across each panel. Readings are logged panel by panel, with prior repair zones flagged.

    Correction options

Defect severity, paint depth, and vehicle age decide the pass count. You receive the options side by side with the cut depth each one removes.

Paint inspection is an assessment with limits. It may not reveal every hidden defect, previous repair, or thin clear-coat area, and readings are taken where the gauge can reach.

Multi-stage correction 10 to 14 µm 3 to 4 14 to 20 h 18 900 UAH Heavier mapped defects addressed, with remaining defects and clear coat limits stated.

Paint inspection may not detect every hidden defect, previous repaint or thin clear coat. Results vary by vehicle.

Inspection may not detect every hidden defect, previous repaint or thin clear coat. Readings are taken at fixed points and repeated after each polishing pass, so the sheet and the photograph describe the same panel on the same day.
